Colourscape came to Newbury park this weekend for the Spring Festival. Essentially it is inflated capsules of plastic- like tents or balloons, some white, red ,blue and green. The sunlight filters through and changes the colours to give these effects. Baby loved it. He kept lying down and rolling around to view it from different angles , with a permanent grin on his face.
The Red chamber was hell for me, it seared my eyes, causing flashes of light and made my head pound. The yellow was uplifting, the green calming, the purple calming and the cold blue was depressing. The music was diabolical, it would have been lovely with flutes or bells, Mozart or panpipes, instead it was an unharmonic chaotic, banging and beating and twanging new -agey noise.
This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had, so beautiful and yet totally whacky. Do watch the video for a second hand experience, admittedly, but to get the idea of how it works.
