Maiden voyage

The Sweet -pea taking to the waves.

Daddy going to retrieve her.

She sailed quite away!

Don't you just love traditional toys and pass times? It was so serene, calm and relaxing just waiting for her to return to shore. I can see that this boating lark is going to develop baby's patience.

The official launch was attended by two of Newbury's  Councillors , to protect their identity their portrait has been disguised (See above) for fear of reprisals from the Pro Build the Art Pavilion faction.

A perfect sunny day to launch a boat! Shame she is measured in inches not feet and can only sail the circumference of a pond!

I name this vessel "the sweet-pea" God bless all who sail her! Ellen Macarthur eat your heart out. Fortunately there was a good wind and she came back to shore shipshape. There was a moment of fear as she headed for the centre of the pond, as none of us had wellies or cozzies.
To mark the occasion even an unexpected balloon seller arrived on site to celebrate!
